Hemis drills at El Tigre

Resource company Hemis Corporation is currently operating a diamond drilling project at the El Tigre gold exploration site in Sonora, Mexico.

The initial drilling phase will test several gold-bearing breccia zones, all of which are showing signs of mineralization. The chief geologist at the site, Dr Douglas Oliver, said that the second hole looks particularly good.

"The rocks are gorgeous," he said. "A continuous intercept of over 80 meters shows signs of being strongly mineralized."

Samples of the drill core are being assayed at the ALS Chemex lab in Hermosillo, Mexico.

Meanwhile Hemis believes that its Anchor gold project in Alaska has great potential. A preliminary oceanographic survey has shown that the water is less than ten meters deep in many of the prospective areas - "an ideal water depth from the standpoint of future exploration".

Hemis is listed on the Frankfurt stock exchange and has its head office in Zurich.
