Redstar plans $1 million exploration program
Redstar Gold Corporation is planning a $1 million exploration program in the Red Lake camp of Northern Ontario, following the recent securing of $2.5 million of financing.
Previous surface work and drilling at the Newman Todd project at the Red Lake site has outlined a structural corridor containing numerous gold intercepts. These include one hole that intersected 1.0 metre grading 69.02 grams per tonne of gold within a 3.0 metre zone grading 24.84 grams per tonne.
"Redstar is extremely pleased to have the funding necessary to complete an aggressive drill program at Newman Todd," said Redstar president Scott Weekes.
"Our previous work has identified a large alteration system with many similarities to the largest gold mines in the Red Lake camp. The ability to target near surface high grade gold intercepts makes this upcoming drill program extremely exciting."
The $1 million program will focus on defining the extend of the gold mineralisation in the structural corridor.
Redstar is based in Vancouver and is focused on gold exploration in Nevada and Ontario.
