Golden Dragon drilling progresses at Dorothy Dobie

Mining company Canadian Golden Dragon Resources has released news of drilling under way at its Dorothy Dobie mining site, which the company claims to hold historic, non-NI 43-101 compliant gold resources.

Getting phase one under way, Canadian Golden Dragon plans drilling to reach above 1,000 meters in eight different holes previously identified as gold zones.

Located in the Pickle Lake region of Ontario, Canada, alongside the Golden Patricia mine claimed by owner Barrick Gold to have yielded 860,000 tonnes of gold between 1989 and 1997, Canadian Golden Dragon hopes that the Dorothy Dobie site can perform a similar feat.

"While the results for the three properties are historic and superficial comparisons to other success stories in the area are not a guarantee for success in our case, they speak to the magnitude of the opportunity that management sees in pursuing these projects," said company president Elliot Strashin.

Caution is being exercised by the company as predictions of gold yield for the company are indeed 'historic', not yet carried out in conformity to the National Instrument Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects and still to be reviewed by the designated Qualified Person.

Canadian Gold Dragon focuses on mineral exploration and developments in Canada such as the Dorothy Dobie mines, working on both 100 per cent owned properties and a series of joint ventures.
