Aquila makes significant gold discovery
A significant gold discovery has been made by Aquila Resources at its Back Forty project in Michigan, US.
Drilling has uncovered additional gold mineralization of 27.8 meters of 5.07 grams per tonne of gold, in a zone of 54.3 meters of 3.09 grams per tonne of gold, and 13.9 grams per tonne of silver.
Significant gold mineralization was found in the LK 161, 162 and 163 zones. Previous intercepts in the same area have uncovered 17.3 meters of 6.62 grams per tonne of gold and 58.5 meters of 5.1 grams per tonne.
Aquila notes: "The gold in LK 163 is significant because it has identified potentially economic mineralization above Main Zone Hinge massive sulfides within 50 meters of surface."
The Back Forty project area is located in early Proterozoic aged volcanic rocks in the Wisconsin Volcanic Terrain.
