Money Observer: What If the Stock Market Tumbles?

LONDON, 9 October 2017 – Popular UK personal finance magazine Money Observer today quotes analysis from BullionVault in a report on how investors can protect against the risk of a stock market correction or crash.

"Stock markets in the developed world have been on a winning streak for more than 100 months," warns the magazine, "far longer than the average bull run of 64 months."

Advising its readers to consider so-called "absolute return funds" as well as structured products designed to rise if stockmarkets drop, "Historical data show that gold acts as investment insurance," Investment Week says, quoting BullionVault research.

"A small allocation to gold can provide downside protection during market crashes."
