LONDON, 13 December 2012 - Comment from BullionVault's chief economist, Ben Traynor, features today in the latest precious metals report from MarketWatch, one of the United States' leading finance and investment news sites.
Speaking to MarketWatch by phone from London, "There's definitely an element of 'selling the news' today," said Ben.
"The Fed's announcement that it will buy $45 billion of Treasury bonds a month was heavily trailed, so it's hard to see how it wasn't priced in. What was less expected was the change in guidance to include the 6.5% unemployment-rate target."
