Handelsblatt: Topic of the Day

LONDON, 30 September 2025 − Leading German financial newspaper Handelsblatt today quotes BullionVault analysis in its front-page feature on the soaring price of gold.

Continued inside as Handelsblatt's Topic of the Day, the report notes that "current US Fed chairman, Jerome Powell, has so far resisted pressure from the US government" to slash interest rates.

"Nevertheless, during Powell's tenure, gold has performed better than at any time since Arthur Burns in the inflationary late 1970s," it adds, quoting Adrian Ash, director of research at Bullionvault.
