MoneyWeek: Contrarian Tip to Buy Gold

LONDON, 9 June 2018 – Best-selling UK finance magazine MoneyWeek today reports and comments on BullionVault's analysis of the currently weak demand for gold among private investors.

"Investors are notably bored with gold," writes MoneyWeek editor John Stepek in today's weekend edition of his daily Money Morning email, pointing to BullionVault research into how searches for the phrase 'buy gold' using Google have hit an 11-year low.

"I have to say, this is the sort of thing I'd normally take as a pretty decent contrarian signal," says Stepek.

The Google data highlighted by BullionVault was also noted as a potentially "contrarian signal" by columnist John Authers at the Financial Times this week.
