LONDON, 19 February 2017 – Sister newspaper of the weekday Guardian newspaper, today's Observer prints comment from BullionVault about how savers can boost their returns while keeping a lid on the risks to their money.
The world's longest-running Sunday newspaper, The Observer notes how zero interest rates and rising inflation make this "a miserable time for anyone hoping to make money from their nest egg."
It recommends spreading your risk across a range of other assets, looking at corporate bonds, shares, property, peer-to-peer lending and gold.
"Gold offers a kind of financial insurance, rising when other things fall," the paper quotes BullionVault head of research Adrian Ash.
