LONDON, 7 November 2017 – Analysis and data from BullionVault today leads a report from finance professionals' magazine Investment Europe contrasting the action in crypto-currency Bitcoin with trading in physical gold.
Published for fund selectors working across Europe, the magazine quotes BullionVault's analysis of Google Trends data, which show the number of internet searches for the phrase "buy bitcoin" now overtaking "buy gold" worldwide.
Alongside the boom in crypto currencies attracting new money away from gold, "Brexit isn't worrying the FTSE, and Catalonia's independence crisis has so far failed to dent Europe's [stockmarket] bull market," Investment Europe quotes Adrian Ash, director of research at BullionVault.
