LONDON, 7 November 2017 – Crypto-currency news-site Cointelegraph today reports BullionVault's latest trading update, plus its analysis of internet search volumes to 'buy bitcoin' overtaking 'buy gold' on Google Trends data.
Now one of the world's top 4,000 most popular sites according to tech giant Amazon's Alexa service – up from 30,000 a year ago – Cointelegraph says this is only "adding insult to injury for gold after an ounce began to cost less than one BTC for the first time this year.
"BullionVault [saw] 30% declines in monthly gold trading for October compared to the yearly average," it goes on.
"The trend came a gold dipped 6% from one-year highs in early September."
