LONDON, 25 July 2016 – UK political and cultural magazine the New Statesman today features BullionVault's new whisky trading venture in its summer 2016 investment guide.
Founded over a century ago, the weekly magazine's 32-page guide carries articles and advice from politician Anna Soubry MP, former pensions minister Steve Webb, and John Hunter, chairman of the UK Shareholders' Association (UKSA) amongst others.
On page 27, BullionVault head of research Adrian Ash explains how BullionVault's management and I.T. team have now applied its proven business model to an entirely new asset class, never before made cost-efficient and investable.
"Financial insurance cuts both ways," writes Adrian of gold ownership, and as stock markets recovered from the global financial crisis, "gold prices had fallen over 40%" from their peak by late 2015.
"Some coin retailers went to the wall while many online outlets and dealers tried to promote Bitcoin. The world's largest online precious metals exchange, BullionVault, turned to drink.
"Specifically, to maturing Scotch whisky."
