LONDON, 14 October 2016 – Gold volumes in London – centre of the world's precious metals trade – have turned "quiet" as the market is "decamping to Singapore" for the London Bullion Market Association's annual conference says BullionVault, quoted today by MarketWatch.
Even so ,"Gold has held up against the rising Dollar," says Adrian Ash, head of research, to the US financial news site, "and the strength in [exchange-traded fund] holdings suggests that the fund managers returning to gold in 2016 are looking beyond the noise."
