The Sunday Times: BullionVault Bigger Than Man Utd

LONDON - World No.1 gold market online BullionVault.com today enters The Sunday Times' Top Track 250 of large, privately-owned UK businesses at No. 85.

Generating a turnover of £304 million in 2010, BullionVault was larger than many household names including holiday firm Center Parcs, bed chain-store Dreams, and Premier League champions Manchester United.

"Allowing private investors to buy a share in a gold bar rather than the whole thing, BullionVault.com has benefited from a 21st century 'gold rush' as the precious metal?s popularity has rocketed," says The Sunday Times, which publishes the Top Track lists in association with the Fast Track league tables.

BullionVault last year entered the Fast Track 100 table of high-growth private companies at No.21. It has the smallest staff of any company on the Top Track 250, employing just 17 people to make a 2010 profit of £4.1m.
