The Guardian: Tales of the credit crunch

LONDON, 11 October 2008 -, the world's fastest-growing and most secure route to outright gold ownership, appears in a full-length report on how the credit crunch is affecting British savers, consumers and investors in The Guardian newspaper.

"Is it time to start hoarding food, or put your money into gold, or emigrate to Australia?" ask Patrick Barkham and Alexandra Topping in the main news section of the popular Saturday edition.

"The phones [first] lit up after Northern Rock collapsed last year," they then quote Adrian Ash, BullionVault's head of research, "but the interest in buying gold at the moment is just phenomenal."
