Storage charge

BullionVault's storage charge is one of the lowest in the world.

As a general guide you would expect to pay around 1.25% per annum at a bank (for allocated gold). We believe privately owned gold is actually much safer at Via Mat - which has never come up with a scheme like 'unallocated' gold.

With a bit of hunting you can find a few services offering storage between 1% and 0.4% per annum.

BullionVault is much lower still - at 0.12% per annum. This is virtually the wholesale rate. We are happy to pass on our bulk storage savings to our customers and it is our policy to make low-cost long term storage one of our most attractive features.
